ABOUT / ABOUT / ABOUT / ABOUT /
Hello, I'm Suze Ceelen (’99), a graphic designer based in Antwerp, Belgium. I hold a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts with a specialisation in Graphic Design.[ Sint Lucas Academie Antwerp ] Currently enrolled in the Master Program in Free Arts within the design context.
My journey into the creative field began with a very different study path of two-years in Fysiotherapie and Rehabilitation studies. In this studies I struggled with understanding the questions of life and the system.
Besides my passion for humans and helping others I couldn’t hold back my growing passion for creating meaningful change. This not only by helping humans in a practical medical way but more by translating my visions into art projects that hopefully span a wide range in the future. This realization led me to the transition to an Art Program, driven by the belief that designers and artists can significantly impact the world today.
While my interests span a wide range, I am particularly drawn to addressing social and human issues, shedding light on the often overlooked problems.
I prefer to work collaborating with fellow artists, designers, photographers, like working with my classmates, but also people outside the artistic field, aiming to broaden my perspectives on certain projects. I think that working collectively, sharing knowledge and ideas, is the most effective way to develop solutions. My preferred approach for projects involves a big bunch of research and starting of total manual, allowing me to truly feel the work before translating it to digital platforms and publications. My special interest is going to book design, experience design and visual identities.
